Question

Internet, I have a question for you.

Let's say you get an order of chips (that's what those crazy Brits call fries, for all you North Americans) with your kebab when you come home a bit tipsy on a Monday night. Now, you don't feel like eating them at the time, so you stick them in the fridge. Then, the next day, you reheat them in the microwave and eat them.

Gross or no?

Answer: Not gross.

Next-day Swiss Chalet fries are the frickin' bomb! Hot or cold.

Hey Alice -

Depends. If you can stomach them cold and soggy from the fridge - go right ahead. For warm and soggy fries, put them in the microwave and heat them on high for 2-4 minutes, depending on your microwave. But if you have a bit of time, pre-heat your oven to 450F and then put hte fries on a flat cookie sheet for about 5-10 minutes. The will come out hot and crisp. Just add Ketchup!

You're Welcome,

The Internets.

Hi Alice,

I have been know to nonch on left over fries warmed up in the microwave, but I got to be really hungry because they come out soggy--ick!

I'll have to try the oven, that sounds good! I wish I had thought to try it that way.

I would suggest testing the next-day-fries on your cats. use two dishes and provide small hot and cold samples. Whatever they eat is probably okay and you should eat as well.

If the cats don't eat either sample, well, they're cats and therefore fussy as hell and you should probably eat the fries anyway (hot or cold) because what the fuck do cats know? The important thing here is to follow an empirical scientific method.
